Is face oil suitable for my skin type?

Three common myths about face oils – they clog pores, they make skin oilier, and face oils are unsuitable for those with acne-prone skin. In reality, face oils can only be beneficial for your skin because of their rich nutrients. In fact, oils were being used by our ancestors to moisturise their skin in the past. This is what nature has been offering us at its best all this while.

Face oils actually work for all skin types and provide remedies for skin issues, from moisturising dry skin, reducing wrinkles, calming sensitive skin to banishing zits and acne breakouts. There is one that is ideal for every type. So do not shy away from face oils simply because you have oily or acne-prone skin. Face oil is actually very beneficial for oily or acne-prone skin, as it helps reduce oil production and regulate your skin’s natural sebum, restoring the natural balance of your skin's moisture level.

Where are the products made?

We are a Singapore-based skincare company, and we specialise in anhydrous formulas. All of our products are original and handcrafted in Australia, using Australian sourced ingredients. 

Are the organic ingredients used in the products certified?

All our ingredients are sourced from Australia, and most of our organic ingredients are certified by the organisation, Australia Certified Organic. For more info, you may search for the ingredients listed on the Glossary page.

Are all the ingredients used in the products natural?

At Oil Perfect, we believe that natural ingredients, free of synthetics, benefit the skin. Natural vitamin C, however, is unstable in formulations. We use an oil soluble derivation of vitamin C, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate in three of our products, Berry Antioxidant, Vitamin C Boost Face Balm, and Antioxidant Eye Recovery Oil Serum. Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, superior to other vitamin C derivations, is a luxurious addition to skincare products and provides many benefits to skin. How long can the products last?

As our products do not contain any preservatives, they are best used within 6 months of purchase. Always use clean, dry hands, or a spatula when scooping the products as introducing water to them will cause bacteria to grow and strive. Store them in a cool and dark place. Alternatively, storing them in the fridge can lengthen their shelf life. 

Why do my products contain white specks?

Do not be alarmed when you see white specks or clumps in some of the products. It is perfectly normal when they are stored in a cooler temperature. This is due to the melting point of the different oils which is determined by their fatty acid content (each fatty acid has its own melting oil). Warm the products gently when this happens.

SHIPPING POLICY

We will try our best to deliver the items to your nominated delivery address within the specified time period. You will receive a notification via email by Oil Perfect in the unlikely event of any delivery delay caused by us. We will not be responsible for any losses suffered or incurred due to delay, lost packages, or incorrect delivery addresses provided. 

For shipping within Singapore:

  • Free shipping for all Singapore orders.
  • You should receive your order within 3 – 5 working days.
  • For orders that include customised face oils, it will take approximately 12 working days to arrive as they are made to order and handcrafted in Australia.

For international orders:

  • International orders are processed and shipped within 3 working days. If you do not receive your orders within 3 weeks, please email us at sales@oilperfect.com.
  • For orders that include customised face oils, it will take approximately 20 working days to arrive as they are made to order and handcrafted in Australia.
  • For countries not listed, please email us at sales@oilperfect.com for order and shipping details. We will send you the quotation for shipping costs. Purchase will be shipped after payment is received.
  • We engage courier service that comes with tracking. The time of delivery depends on the speed of custom clearance in each country.
  • Please note that international orders may be subjected to import taxes, customs duties, and fees by the destination country. Payment of any duties and taxes is the responsibility of the recipient. We have no control over these charges and are not responsible for any reimbursement of custom fees or taxes.
  • In the event that your packages are returned to us due to being refused (e.g. packages not cleared by customs) or unsuccessful delivery (e.g. packages not collected in the local post office), we will not be liable for the reshipping costs.

RETURN POLICY

  • We do not accept returns due to the nature of our products. They are freshly made and carefully packed.
  • Orders made are non-cancellable, non-refundable, and cannot be altered.
  • For any defective or damaged items, please do send us an email within 3 days upon delivery at sales@oilperfect.com. Your email should include clear and detailed photos of the defect area/s, and your order number for verification purposes.
  • Defective or damaged items returned without prior notice via email will not be accepted.

RETURN POLICY

EXCHANGE POLICY (IF APPLICABLE) 

  • We will send you a confirmation email once your exchange request is approved.
  • Pack the items together with the invoice in its original packing material, and deliver your package back to us using a traceable service with a tracking number.
  • Packages are to reach us within 5 working days (for local orders) and 15 working days (for international orders) upon the date you receive the confirmation email. 
  • Kindly note that you are responsible for the shipping costs and safety of your returned items. We will not be held responsible for lost packages.
  • For all exchanges via international post, the customer pays for all return shipping costs or postal charges (two-way), including duty and tax, if applicable.
  • Please note that your returned items must be unopened and in the original condition you received them in. 

At Oil Perfect, we take pride in making and handling our products along with our customers’ satisfaction. We sincerely apologise for any defects or damages in the items sent (if any). If you return an item that does not meet the requirements stated in our Return and Exchange Policies, Oil Perfect reserves the right to refuse any exchanges.

Any items out of stock will be reflected in our website. Should this happen after you have placed an order, you can exchange for any other available item. We will not refund the difference in amount for exchanges to items of lower value. For exchanges to items of higher value, you will be required to pay for the difference in amount.
